Alan Moret

Interim Chief Executive Officer

Alan Moret was named Interim CEO in January 2017 and has served as Senior Vice President of Supply at Alon since 2008.  Moret joined the company in August 2006 in connection with Alon's acquisition of Paramount Petroleum Corporation, where he served as President from November 2001 to August 2006.

Moret has more than 30 years of experience with refining and asphalt.  He oversees asphalt operations and marketing at our refineries and asphalt terminals. Prior to joining Paramount Petroleum, Moret held various positions with Atlantic Richfield Company, most recently as President of ARCO Crude Trading, Inc. and served as President of ARCO Seaway Pipeline Company from 1997 to 1998.

Moret is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University where he earned a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering in 1976.

Shai Even

Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Shai Even is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Alon. He joined the Company in August 2003 as Treasurer and was further appointed as Chief Financial Officer in December 2004 and Vice President in May 2005.

Even began his career with KPMG and served for seven years as Chief Financial Officer at DCL Technologies LTD, before joining Alon.

Even is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), licensed by the California Board of Accountancy, and a member of the American Institute of CPA's. He is also a CPA in Israel, licensed by Israeli Ministry of Justice.

Even earned a bachelor's degree in economy and accounting from Bar- Ilan University in Israel.

Claire A. Hart

Senior Vice President

Claire A. Hart is Senior Vice President of Alon. Hart joined the company when it was formed in August 2000 after Alon Israel Oil Co., LTD purchased the downstream assets of Atofina Petrochemicals, Inc. (FINA).

Prior to being named Senior Vice President in January 2004, Hart served as Alon's Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. As Senior Vice President, Hart oversees the company's information technology, human resources, and business process management departments.

Hart brings more than 30 years of professional experience to Alon, including 13 years with FINA, Inc., where he held various positions, including the posts of Insurance Risk Manager, General Manager of Credit Operations and Treasurer. Prior to his FINA experience, he worked as a Senior Manager at the accounting/consulting firm of KPMG, where he assisted companies in the energy, utility and manufacturing industries to help improve their financial processes and systems.

Hart is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and a member of the American Institute of CPA's and the Texas Society of CPA's. In addition, Hart belongs to a variety of professional and civic organizations. He is a graduate of Oklahoma State University where he earned a bachelor's of business administration degree in accounting.

Michael Oster

Senior Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions

Michael "Mikey" Oster is Senior Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions for Alon. He is responsible for all growth opportunities of the Company and its subsidiaries.

Prior to joining Alon in January 2003, Oster was a partner in Yehuda Raveh and Co., a leading law firm in Israel, where he specialized in commercial transactions and project finance.

Oster graduated from Bar Ilan University in Israel in 1997 with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and undergraduate degree in economics. He is involved with several charity associations and serves on the Board of Directors of the Vogel Alcove.

Jimmy C. Crosby

Senior Vice President of Refining

Jimmy Crosby was appointed Senior Vice President of Refining in March 2013. Prior to being appointed to this position, Crosby served as Vice President of Refining and Chief Operating Officer of the general partner of Alon USA Partners, LP. He has served as Vice President of Refining-Big Spring since January 2010, with responsibility for operations at the Big Spring Refinery.

Previously, Crosby served as Vice President of Refining-California Refineries from March 2009 until January 2010, as Vice President of Refining and Supply from May 2007 to March 2009, as Vice President of Supply and Planning from May 2005 to May 2007, and as General Manager of Business Development and Planning from August 2000 to May 2005. Prior to joining Alon, Crosby worked with Atofina Petrochemicals, Inc., where he last held the position of Manager of Planning and Economics for the Big Spring Refinery.

James A. Ranspot

James A. Ranspot

Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary

James Ranspot was appointed to the position of Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary in March 2013. He served as Alon's Chief Legal Counsel - Corporate from August 2010 until March 2013, and Assistant General Counsel from June 2006 to August 2010.

Prior to joining Alon, Ranspot practiced corporate and securities law, with a focus on public and private merger and acquisition transactions and public securities offerings.

Scott Rowe

Scott Rowe

Senior Vice President of Asphalt Marketing

Scott Rowe is Senior Vice President of Asphalt Marketing at Alon. He has more than 30 years of experience in the asphalt, refining and terminaling businesses. Rowe is responsible for the company’s asphalt business unit and leads the marketing, supply and technical groups. Prior to joining Alon in April 2014, Rowe held various management positions at Koch Industries, CITGO Petroleum Corporation and The Hudson Companies.

Rowe is a graduate of the University of Kansas, where he earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration.
